No documents yet to be inked based on results of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations - Kremlin

An issue of signing any type of documents based on the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian negotiations is not on today’s agenda, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday, AzVision.az reports citing TASS.

"No, we are not speaking about any documents," Peskov told a daily news briefing. "The previous round of negotiations was a good opportunity to clearly state to the Ukrainian side our vision of the solution to this problem. Everything depends on how the Ukrainian side will react to it."

"We believe it to be premature coming up with other assessments at the present time," he added.

Peskov also said that the Russia-Ukraine negotiations in the current situation should be held in calm and should not be a subject of public disclosure.

"We are convinced that such talks in this situation should certainly be held in calm and should not be a subject of public disclosure," the Russian presidential spokesman added.

On Thursday, a second round of Russian-Ukrainian talks ended in Belarus. Vladimir Medinsky, the head of the Russian delegation, who also serves as the Russian presidential adviser, said following the meeting that considerable progress had been achieved. According to him, Moscow and Kiev managed to agree on the provision of humanitarian corridors for civilians. A third round of talks is expected within days.
