Azerbaijani delegation participates in "InnoTrans" international exhibition

A delegation from Azerbaijan led by the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Rovshan Rustamov is participating in the InnoTrans international exhibition currently underway in Berlin, AzVision.az reports, citing CJSC’s press service.

“The InnoTrans event, held biennially and attracting over 100,000 participants, is recognized as one of the largest international exhibitions focused on public transport, including rail vehicles and equipment," the report noted.

Key topics at InnoTrans 2024 include digitalization in the transport sector, sustainable development, and AI-based digital solutions.

The exhibition features 2,940 companies from 59 countries, as well as 32 international organizations.

"The purpose of the Azerbaijan Railways delegation's participation is to familiarize themselves with the latest innovative products and digital solutions from leading global transport companies, as well as to engage in discussions with representatives of foreign railway administrations," CJSC noted.

Additionally, Rustamov had met with a delegation from the leading UAE railway company, Etihad Rail, and representatives from Ukrainian Railways.

"During these meetings, there was an effective exchange on the prospects for cooperation and freight transport, including transit. The steps recently taken by the company to diversify routes through international corridors, particularly the development of the Middle Corridor, were also highlighted," CJSC added.
