Kazakhstan's Tokayev highlights strong ties with Azerbaijan

Kazakhstan's President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening ties with Azerbaijan during a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Astana.

“We place great importance on developing our relationship with Azerbaijan,” Tokayev stated, emphasizing the significance of Bayramov’s visit in boosting cooperation between the two nations.

The Kazakh President also highlighted Azerbaijan as a trusted strategic partner and ally.

In response, Bayramov conveyed gratitude on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people for Kazakhstan’s swift assistance following the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash in Aktau.

The discussion also covered key joint projects, including the installation of a fiber-optic communication line and a deep-sea electrical cable along the Caspian Sea.
