"Altogether 17 casualties were taken to a specialist hospital, among which seven died, including the suicide bombers," Ibrahim said in a text message to Xinhua.
This brings to 36 the total number of death casualties recorded from suicide attacks in Nigeria`s Maiduguri city since late Thursday.
Earlier, rescue workers had given 29 as the death toll from two suicide attacks on a mosque in Maiduguri on Thursday.
Local police have confirmed the attacks, saying mainly worshippers were confirmed killed after two suicide bombers hit the mosque in Molai, an area located on the outskirts of Maiduguri, detonating their improvised explosive devices in and outside the mosque respectively, causing the building to collapse.
The Borno State police chief Aderemi Opadokun said the two suicide bombers were among the casualties counted the previous night.
Friday`s incident was the third this week to hit the northeast city of Maiduguri after multiple blasts killed at least eight people in another location on Tuesday.
The militant group Boko Haram was blamed for the attacks. The group, fighting against the government to create an Islamic state, has carried out waves of bombings in the northern region and capital city of Nigeria over the years.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered military chiefs to end the insurgency of Boko Haram in the most populous African country by December.
