April Fights Provocation in Rio 2016 Olympics - Armenian athlete`s medal must be taken back!
The first Armenian gold medal winner in the last 20 years, Arthur Aleksanyan, has made a great political provocation on 12th day of Rio Summer Olympic Games, AzVision.az reports.

Aleksanyan appeared at the awarding ceremony with a t-shirt printed out the portrait of an annihilated Armenian sergeant Robert Abdajan during the April fights. Besides, he mentioned that he had dedicated his victory to the Armenian servicemen - the `heroes` of April fights. With this step, Armenian athlete made an outrageous provocation against Azerbaijan.

The Armenian Olympic Committee justifying the action of the athlete, posted the photo on its official website.

Unfortunately, the competition organizers have not prevented the Armenian provocation in the Olympic Games Rio 2016.

The Armenian wrestler must be disqualified and his medal must be taken back for provocation, use of sports as political tool and political involvement in sport. It is out of question that Azerbaijan will express its objection to the relevant institutions.

The 10th clause of the Article 2 of the Olympic Charter of the International Olympics Committee (IOC) states, the institution must oppose any political or commercial abuse of sport and athletes.

The 10th clause of the Article 4 of the Olympic Charter of the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) requires avoiding the use of sports for political purposes.
