Belarus president awarded Heydar Aliyev Order
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has bestowed a Heydar Aliyev Order upon Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, reports citing BelTA.
Very few people have been awarded a Heydar Aliyev Order.

Foreign citizens can get the award for outstanding service to Azerbaijan, for special services rendered in the course of implementing the Azerbaijani idea, for reinforcing the unity of Azerbaijanis all over the world, for special accomplishments in establishing political, economic, scientific, and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and other countries.

A Heydar Aliyev Order has been bestowed upon the former president of France Jacques Chirac, the former presidents of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko and Viktor Yanukovych, the former president of Poland Lech Kaczynski, Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and a number of other heads of state and public figures.
