Worker killed due to explosion at rolling plant in Turkey’s Kocaeli

Worker killed due to explosion at rolling plant in Turkey’s Kocaeli

One worker was killed and 15 others were injured due to an explosion at a factory in the Marmara province of Kocaeli on Jan. 13, Doğan News Agency has reported.

The explosion occurred at a rolling plant in an industrial site in the province’s Dilovası district.

The injured workers were taken to the hospital while a number of ambulances and fire firefighters were dispatched to the area.

There was no immediate reports regarding the cause of the explosion.

The district governor of Gebze, Mehmet Arslan, said an investigation would be launched to determine if there was any negligence involved in the blast.
