Cameras do not work in Armenia election precincts due to server problems- EU
Cameras did not work in several election precincts due to problems with the U.S.-based server, Hoa-Binh Adjemian the Head of cooperation for the EU Delegation to Armenia noted, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian media.
“Because of problems with U.S.-based server webcam not available now... but recording ok & all political parties have access to livestreaming,” he tweeted.

Several minutes later he informed about the way the problem is being solved.

“Internet routing is being transferred through Europe to solve technical problems and allow full access,” he added on his Twitter account.

Armenia is holding a parliamentary election for the first time since new Constitution was approved through a referendum in December 2015. The new National Assembly will have 105 deputies, four of whom—representatives of ethnic minorities.

A total of 2,009 election precincts are open all through the country. This voting will be the only national one in the next five years, as Armenia is transitioning to a parliamentary republic.

Five political parties and four blocs are running for parliament. Political parties have to get five percent of votes, whereas the blocs need seven percent to be elected to the National Assembly of Armenia.
