Earlier on April 1, it was reported that the negotiators on the Iranian nuclear program in Lausanne had not yet reached an agreement.
It was also reported that on April 1 that the experts of the P5+1 group of international mediators started working on a rough draft of policy statement at the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear dossier. Later, political directors of the delegations will join the experts. The consultations with the participation of Tehran’s delegation should take place the same day.
The foreign ministers of Iran and the mediator countries were originally required to submit a document by March 31. On the morning of April 1, the experts of the P5+1 group of international mediators have begun work on a draft copy of the political declaration.
The P5+1 group of international mediators lead the negotiations with Iran, the purpose of which is to prove the peaceful nature of Iran`s nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of international sanctions. The parties are making diplomatic efforts for the development of the political part of the agreement and working towards a comprehensive agreement by the end of June.
