Migrants with tickets denied access to Budapest train station - VIDEO
Hundreds of angry migrants have been demonstrating outside Budapest"s Keleti railway station.
Authorities closed the station earlier to check travellers’ documents. Most trains from the station head west towards neighbouring Austria and Germany.

A government spokesman issued an emailed statement to Reuters news agency explaining that Hungary was enforcing EU law which requires people travelling within the Schengen area to hold a valid passport and Schengen visa.

Most people demonstrating outside the station had tickets and waved them in the air .. demanding that be allow travel onto Germany.

The station has reopened but Hungarian news agency MTI reports authorities are not allowing migrants to enter.

Our correspondent Andrea Hajagos said that earlier police had been only allowing passengers with valid passports to board international trains before closing the platforms completely.
