Azerbaijani FM meets with chief adviser to Turkish president 

On July 31, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, as part of his official visit to Ankara, held a meeting with Akif Cagatay Kilic, the chief adviser to the President of Türkiye.  

The meeting discussed the current cooperation between the two countries, as well as the situation in the region, the Foreign Ministry's press service told AzVision.az. 

Satisfaction was expressed with the allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye based on the Shusha Declaration and cooperation within the framework of regional formats.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov drew attention to the emergence of new realities after the Patriotic War and the promotion of the peace agenda by Azerbaijan, creating opportunities for regional cooperation. In addition, it was emphasized that it is necessary to open communications, including the Zangezur corridor.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov gave detailed information about the military-political provocations of Armenia against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

Chief adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic noted that successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, in accordance with the philosophy of brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries, contributes to the development and security of both countries, including the region.
