US Thanks Russia for Offer to Help Put Out California Wildfires - Ministry
According to the press service, the Russian ministry has received respective letters of appreciation from the chiefs of the US government institutions.
"On this occasion, once again, let me thank you for your offer to provide disinterested help in the season of high possibility of fire," the FEMA authorities wrote in the letter, as quoted by the Russian ministry.

California has had over 2,400 wildfires since the beginning of the year — about 800 more than the average in the last five years, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
