Armenia`s joining Eurasian Economic Union to be clarified in October
Armenia`s joining the Eurasian Customs Union will be clarified in October 2014, Mediamax reported Aug. 27, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a briefing following the meeting of the presidents of the Customs Union member-states in Minsk.
Nazarbayev stressed that a decision was made that the talks will be held in Minsk on October 10. It is planned to solve the problem of Armenia`s and Kyrgyzstan`s joining the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is an international integration economic union. An agreement on its establishment on the basis of the Customs Union was signed by the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) on May 29, 2014 (entered into force on January 1, 2015). Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus joined the Union. EEU is being established to strengthen the economies of the member-states, to modernize and to improve the competitiveness of the countries on the world market.
Armenia and Kyrgyzstan plan to join the Union in the future.
