Armenian MP flees country taking party`s $100mln

Armenian MP flees country taking party`s $100mln

Member of "Prosperous Armenia" Party (PAP) Abraham Manukyan has fled the country taking $100 mln belonging to the party, wrote `Haykakan Zhamanak
` daily, Azvision.az reports citing Armenian media.

His assistant at the National Assembly also confirms that he is not in Armenia.

That money was intended for coordination of regional structures of the party. Manukyan was previously the coordinator of these structures. Several months ago there was a conflict situation in the party, some members left the party. There were rumors that Manukyan wanted to make changes in the leadership in the party.
