Turkish PM calls German parliament
He called the German parliament’s resolution recognizing the so-called Armenian genocide ‘completely wrong’, expressing hope that it will be corrected soon.
“Germany is home to three million Turks. This decision make them upset as well. Why no one is taking into account the Khojaly genocide which was committed by Armenia? In order to simplify its historical mistake Germany passed such a decision at the parliamentary level,” Turkey’s PM underlined.
He thanked Azerbaijan for expressing its attitude at the highest level immediately after the German parliament’s decision.
Yildirim said that Turkey has a transparent history.
The PM urged the international community to abandon double standards in relation to the ongoing tragedies in the Middle East.
