The geography of their exercises - exclusively the eastern flank of the alliance and the Arctic region - is proof of their anti-Russian stance," Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said at the Moscow International Security Conference.
“Certain Western powers are trying to draw Asian and Latin American nations into an anti-Russia campaign to isolate Moscow,” the minister said. He continued that many European media are churning false ideas on the need to deter alleged Russian aggression.

"Despite some Western leaders’ efforts to isolate Russia, punish Russia for an independent policy and protection of compatriots, we are not going to close. Russia is ready for broad cooperation with partners around the world — in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas," the minister said.
