Global coronavirus cases exceed 53 million

Global coronavirus cases exceed 53 million

The number of novel coronavirus cases in the world has surpassed 53 million, according to Worldometers.

More than 1.29 million people have lost their lives around the world from COVID-19 so far.

Up till now, over 37.2 million virus infected people have recovered.

The virus has spread to 216 countries and regions since it was first detected late last year in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
