Next three months ‘very critical’, WHO warns

COVID-19 infections seem to have stabilized in Azerbaijan over the past ten days, with about 4,000 daily cases, AzVision.az cited WHO Representative in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci, as saying on Wednesday.

Harmanci noted that the quarantine regime imposed in Azerbaijan aims to protect people from the virus.

“It should take at least a week to see the results of the strict quarantine regime. At this time, daily virus infections will go down. It is necessary to reduce the tension on the healthcare sector caused by an increase in infections,” she said.

The next three months are very critical, the WHO representative warned.
