The Caspian Economic Forum, convened among the riparian states, has officially commenced in Tehran, Iran, today, AzVision.az reports via the Iranian First Vice President's official portal.
The forum is being conducted under the auspices of seven thematic panels, featuring contributions from high-ranking officials, including ministers, deputy ministers, and representatives from the private sector, all hailing from the Caspian littoral states.
The discussions are focused on strengthening cooperation and exploring opportunities in various sectors, including trade, industry, agriculture, customs, banking, investment, transit and transportation, technical and engineering services, environmental protection, tourism, and energy (oil, gas, electricity, and renewables).
The outcomes of the panels will be presented tomorrow during the Economic Forum, which will be attended by the prime ministers. After further deliberations, a final statement will be signed, establishing an agreement on maximizing cooperation.
To note, the Caspian Economic Forum is convening in Tehran, Iran, on the dates of February 17-18.
