David Bakradze became presidential candidate from party of Saakashvili
Ex-speaker of the parliament, leader of the parliamentary minority David Bakradze became presidential candidate from the party of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili "United National Movement".
It was announced on Saturday after the last, the sixth stage of the primaries in Tbilisi. Bakradze confidently won all his competitors in the primaries. It should be noted that Bakradze won all the primaries held in the regions of Georgia, as well as an online-survey.

Bakradze competitors were members of Parliament Giorgi Baramidze, Shota Malashkhia and Zurab Abashidze.

After the victory Bakradze said that today Georgia needs a president who will unite the country and will not spread dispute. He thinks he has a chance to win in the elections.

Presidential elections in Georgia will be held on October 27.
