Ali Hasanov expressed regret for the hearings on Azerbaijan, which will be held at the European Parliament on June 10.
“Even if the discussions will result in the adoption of any resolution, I think Azerbaijan will be affected by that. These steps will only affect our relations with the European Union and the European Parliament. We have proved ourselves to be a country ready to integrate into the world, into the European Union. We have made a statement in this regard.
Europe’s prestigious institutions act under influence of forces jealous of Azerbaijan’s development
However, if someone is thinking of forcing us to accept something, it’s not a wise policy. Azerbaijan has reached to an extent that no one – not even influential organizations – can force it to accept anything,” Ali Ahmadov stressed.
Ahmadov also touched upon the Baku-2015 1st European Games, which he said would be organized at the highest level possible. “Azerbaijan will write its name in Europe’s sports history. I think it will also be written in the history of Europe. And the European Parliament’s resolution will remain on paper. They had done same thing prior to the Eurovision Song Contest held in Azerbaijan. But it did not undermine the holding of this contest in Azerbaijan.
