AzVision.az reports citing epress.com that the statement came from expert on political and election technologies Armen Badalyan.
"It is not 1988 today and we have to understand this. Most have seen the president of Karabakh origin and 1 March. That is, do not believe words that if something happens in Karabakh, 100,000 will rush to streets to defend it in Yerevan, since something has changed in people`s minds.
In 1988 Karabakh in people`s minds was a bright future. Now in 20 years, public has changed along with changes in the very essence of the Karabakh issue. It is not a secret that we have seen the second president (Robert Kocharyan), the third president (Serzh Sargsyan), his brothers, we saw that they were from Karabakh.
This all leaves its traces and this trace can affect in some time. In most cases I tell people: If you see the Azerbaijani flag over Shusha, do not expect 100,000 demonstrations in Yerevan.
Probably, dashnaks will hold a meeting, some hundreds of people will gather, hold a protest but the sense of Karabakh is completely lost", he said.
