The Secretary of State of Nevada, the US, Barbara K. Cegavske has signed a proclamation on Azerbaijan National Day – the Republic Day.
The proclamation reads: “May the date of May 28,1918 continue to serve as a shining example of early Muslim democracy in the Greater Middle East and as a reminder to the 400,000 Azerbaijani-Americans of their forefathers’ contribution to the spread of freedom and democracy in the Caucasus and the greater region.”
