 French Embassy congratulates Azerbaijani people on occasion of New Year 

The French Embassy in Azerbaijan has congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the New Year in a video shared on the Twitter, AzVision.az reports.

The staff of the Embassy, as well as Ambassador Zacarie Gross, conveyed their congratulations in the video. 

"Dear friends, I wish you a peaceful and happy 2022. France will stand by you in building peace and prosperity in the region," the diplomat said.

In 1993, December 31 was announced as the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day in accordance with the presidential decree.

On Dec. 6, 1991, at a meeting of the Supreme Assembly of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, chaired by Heydar Aliyev, it was decided to establish the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis. In order to adopt a legislative act in this regard, the Supreme Assembly sent an appeal to the country’s parliament - the Supreme Council.
