“We continue our efforts aimed at the development of our Armed Forces, the defense of our countries and nations. We also take great satisfaction in the constant strengthening of our armies. Azerbaijan and Turkey - "two states - one nation" are making every effort to ensure peace and stability in the Caucasus. We wish that all countries, having achieved peace and stability, continue to live in security and prosperity,” Akar said.
The minister also touched upon the Shusha Declaration on allied relations between the two countries.
“The Shusha Declaration is a document that defines our path, our strategy,” the Turkish minister said, stressing that the work is underway in accordance with the document.
Akar also spoke about the measures being taken in the post-conflict period.
“We are waiting for Armenia’s response to our proposals for peace. We are making efforts to ensure that through this peace and stability are established not only between Azerbaijan and Armenia or between Armenia and Turkey but also in the entire Caucasus,” he added.
