45 countries confirm participation in EXPO-2017 exhibition in Astana
To date, 45 countries have officially confirmed their participation in EXPO-2017 international exhibition to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan,
Among the participants are Azerbaijan, Russia, China, France, Germany, Turkey, South Korea, Japan, Israel, India, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Bolivia, North Korea, Vietnam, Switzerland, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Romania and others.

Previously, Serbia, Indonesia and Hungary also decided to take part in EXPO-2017.

Moreover, the exhibition will be attended by leading international organizations including the World Bank, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

To date, commissioners have been appointed from 19 countries, including Azerbaijan, France, Cuba, Bolivia, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and others. They will be responsible for the issues related to participation of their countries. Moreover, the commissioner from ESCAP has also been appointed.

The International Specialized Exhibition EXPO will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan for the first time from June 10 to Sep.10, 2017. The theme of the exhibition is the ‘Energy of the Future’.

Astana EXPO-2017 national company, created in 2013 is aimed at carrying out preparations and holding the EXPO-2017 exhibition. The use and operation of EXPO-2017 facilities following the exhibition, is also among the main purposes of the company.
