Azerbaijan’s Justice Minister holds discussions with his Pakistani counterpart

As part of his visit to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov met with Azam Nazeer Tarar, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law and Justice.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan across political, economic, legal, trade, and other sectors, noting that these ties have reached the level of strategic partnership. They underlined the importance of reciprocal visits and meetings between the heads of state in further strengthening and expanding these relations.

Minister Ahmadov highlighted the significance of the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Azerbaijan on May 27–28, as well as his participation in the second Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Pakistan Summit held in the liberated city of Lachin, describing them as clear evidence of the strong bilateral relationship.

He also noted that the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Law and Justice of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” signed last year, creates new opportunities for deepening legal cooperation.

Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed his intention to visit Azerbaijan in the coming months to further strengthen bilateral ties.
