Watch LIVE of partial solar eclipse
Partial solar eclipses happen when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth, but they don`t align in a perfectly straight line. Because of this, the Moon only partially covers the Sun`s disc.
This year the Faroe Islands and the Svalbard archipelago are the only two land sites in the world where the full eclipse will be visible.

The skies over Lausanne, Switzerland will darken for a few minutes as the planet experiences its first total solar eclipse in three years.

A partial solar eclipse, when the Sun looks like the Moon, could be witnessed in Berlin on 20 March at 09:48 GMT.
