VAR to be used in FC Qarabag vs Ferencváros match

The video assistant refereeing (VAR) will be used in the upcoming UEFA Champions League third qualifying round matches, including a 2-leg encounter between Azerbaijan’s FC Qarabag and Hungary’s Ferencváros, AzVision.az reports.

This will be the first time the technology is being implemented in the current phase of UEFA competition.

The first leg of FC Qarabag vs Ferencváros tie will be played at Tofig Bahramov Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan at 20:00 Baku time on August 3, while the return match will take place on August 9 in Budapest, Hungary at 22:00 Baku time.
