As of May 1, 2015, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,627,900, up 34,900 persons or 0.4% from early 2015.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 111 persons in a km². Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,009 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages.
