`No one appealed for visit to Azerbaijan in name of Amnesty International`
No one has appealed for visit to Azerbaijan in the name of Amnesty International. No one from this organization is accredited for the European Games.

Ali Hasanov, the Azerbaijani president’s aide for public-political affairs, made the remarks Thursday during the press conference of the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the First European Games with the participation of the local and foreign media representatives.

Hasanov noted that no request on Amnesty International’s representatives to visit Azerbaijan has been made to either the Olympic Committee or the Foreign Ministry.

“We found out that some specialists of the organization had attempted to enter Azerbaijan via indirect ways. That is, they have sought to try indirect ways, for example, as a newspaper or magazine representative, rather than making a request in the organization’s name. So the statement released on behalf of Amnesty International is groundless,” the top official added.

Note that, Amnesty International has released information of its member being disallowed to enter Azerbaijan.
