“The Zangezur Corridor will play a crucial role in boosting bilateral trade between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. The opening of the Corridor will significantly reduce the distance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye by 260 km,” said Turkish Deputy Trade Minister Özgur Volkan Ağar, as he addressed the panel on "The role of transport and logistics centers in increasing bilateral trade turnover" held within the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum.
Ağar emphasized that the Zangezur Corridor is a strategic project with broader regional implications. It will facilitate unimpeded movement and geographical accessibility from China to Europe, resulting in reduced cargo transportation times, faster transit, and increased trade volume. Additionally, the corridor is expected to positively impact trade in Central Asia.
