Former IDPs go back to their native lands in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil

In line with the instruction of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and the first state program on the Great Return to the liberated territories, another group of former internally displaced persons has left for Jabrayil city, AzVision.az reports.

At this stage, 32 families of 153 people are returning to the liberated and restored city of Jabrayil. All of them were temporarily housed in dormitories, sanatoriums, pioneer camps, unfinished and administrative buildings in the capital and various regions of the country.

As a result of the victory of the valiant Azerbaijani army under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, internally displaced persons were given the opportunity to return voluntarily, safely and with dignity to their native lands after 30 years.

The returning residents of Jabrayil expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for comprehensive state support and care. They also expressed gratitude to the brave Azerbaijani army that liberated the country's lands from occupation, heroic soldiers and officers, and wished peace to the souls of martyrs and patience to their families.

More than 30,000 people live in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur. Among them are former internally displaced persons who have returned to these areas, as well as employees involved in the implementation of restoration and construction projects, workers of local units of various state institutions, and specialists employed in resumed healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry and energy institutions.

Meanwhile, on January 13, 39 families - 165 people - were relocated to the city of Jabrayil
