Turkish authorities summon Russian ambassador on crashed warplane
Turkey has summoned the Russian ambassador in connection with the incident with the Su-24 war plane, Bloomberg reported.
Ankara claimed its F-16s shot down the Russian plane after it ignored repeated warnings over the violation of Turkish airspace.

One of pilots parachuting out of Russian SU-24 reportedly died. Another pilot parachuting out of the jet before it crashed was captured by Turkmen forces.

20-25 minutes after the warplane was downed, Turkmen positions were subjected to intense shelling.

Two Turkish citizens were wounded after the explosion of the downed Russian warplane. They are residents of Dutlubahce village of Yayladagi, in Hatay province on the Syrian border.

NATO convened an emergency meeting after the incident.
