Regional problems necessitate resumption of Turkish-Russian cooperation - Erdogan
Turkey`s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged Russia to resume cooperation to solve regional problems, reports citing RIA Novosti.
“After November 24, relations between Ankara and Moscow are experiencing a difficult period. After the collapse of the USSR they successfully developed, however, began to deteriorate even before the incident with the plane because of the policy that led the Russian leadership in recent years" he said on March 31, while speaking at the Brookings institution in Washington.

Erdogan stressed that despite sharp reaction of Moscow in the incident with su-24, regional problems necessitate the resumption of cooperation between Moscow and Ankara, as Russia and Turkey is an important country in geography.

Turkish President expressed hope that Russia will appreciate this need.

Furthermore, Erdogan called on to resolve the crisis in Ukraine in accordance with international law.
