President of Austrian Olympic Committee Karl Stoss expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani authorities for the assistance in sending the country’s athletes to Vienna, injured in a traffic accident in Baku, to Vienna.
Stoss told TASS that 15-year old Vanessa Sahinovic had already undergone surgery, Verena Breit stayed in Baku but she couldn’t compete.
“The reason of the accident will be known. I also want to express my gratitude to the local transportation agency organizing the athletes’ flight to Austria. It was a terrible scene. On the other hand, we must look forward to the future and believe in our team,” he added.
