Cardinal of Vatican visits Heydar Aliyev Center - PHOTOS
Chairman of Pontific Council for Culture of Vatican Cardinal Janfranco Ravazi visited Heydar Aliyev Center as part of his visit to Azerbaijan in Monday.

The guest viewed the Heydar Aliyev Museum here.

Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center Anar Alakbarov said the Center is engaged in studying and promoting the statehood policy and heritage of national leader Heydar Aliyev. It was noted the center implements projects to popularize history and culture of Azerbaijan all over the world. Alakbarov said the Heydar Aliyev Center also hosts a number of international events serving cultures and intercultural dialogue.

The Cardinal also viewed photo and video materials and exhibits reflecting national leader`s life and political activities as well as significant political, economic and cultural events since the beginning of the century.

The guest later viewed the exhibition `Pearls of Azerbaijan. In the stream of time.` Along with other exhibits telling ancient history, traditions and national wealth of Azerbaijan, the old copies of holy books of various religions caused a great interest.

Cardinal also saw models of historical and modern architectural monuments of the country in an exhibition titled `Mini Azerbaijan.`
